Mr. Eko

Eko, also known as Mr. Eko or Father Tunde, was one of the tail section survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. He was a notorious war lord and drug smuggler in Nigeria before his brother Yemi's death. To get out of his country he hastily became a priest, but after Yemi's death, he seemed to take his role more seriously. Eko survived on the Island for 72 days before he was killed by the Monster.

Default Another surprise about R and B

Of course I have learned to stop assuming on this show, but I am still
learning. First of course, before we met him, I assumed Rose's husband
was Black - I was sure it was Eko. Then all these weeks I have assumed
that they have been married for 20 or more years. Who knew?
How sweet was it when Bernard said he had been waiting 56 years
to meet someone like her. (I'm paraphrasing) but he had known
that they were meant to be five minutes after they met.
It reminded me of my husband and me.
We met in College and on our first date, I knew that he was the man
I was going to marry. That was 23 years ago and we are still together.

Bernard and Rose are some of the best characters that the writers wrote in.

They can twist us around with such simple show plots, like them only knowing each other for about a year now (rough guess).

My wife thought the same thing. We were high school sweethearts. We've been married almost (oops, I mean over) thirty-one years (our anniversary was April 5th). Right now she's fighting scoliosis, complicated by osteoporosis so advanced that her ribs are almost transparent in x-rays. She was five foot two when we first started dating and now she's down to four foot eight. Her back looks like a pretzel and I would still walk through fire for her.

Her comment was that I try to "fix" everything, too.

Wow, you married folks have been married for a while. We celebrate our 11-month anniversary in two weeks. But we were the same way too: after our first date, we knew we were going to get married.

I think Rose and Bernard are the closest to "normal" we've seen on this show.

Especially their arguing!

Benard really didn't get mad until she tried to stop the SOS sign. And what I liked about the episode was that you find out the real reason he want to get back was to have Rose tested to make sure she was "cured."

That means he really didn't believe in the Australian guy, either. He was just desperate enough to try anything.

She's doing fine. We've started on a drug called Forteo. It's been out five years and where Fosamax stops or halts bone loss, Forteo does the opposite. It stimulates bone growth that fills in the voids in the bones that ostioporosis has created. Only problem is that during clinical trials it caused cancer in rats, but it's been out five years without a single adverse effect. So we've got our fingers crossed.

I sold my motorcycle and we purchased a Russian motorcycle/sidecar rig. The sidecar eases the strain on her back and bones and we've decided we aren't waiting until we retire to take trips and have fun. The people she works with this she's nuts (motorcycle chick!).

Oh, and we have an three year old Irish Setter who's nuts, too.

Default I haven't stopped boo-whoing yet.

Love is and amazing thing. I met my Husband May 6th of "94" and he asked me to marry him August 22nd of the same year. 4 months! We were married May 6th of "95". One year to the day that we met. We have been to hell and back together. It cried when Bernard said they would never leave the island. I would have done the same.
