 Benjamin "Ben" Linus
Benjamin "Ben" Linus is the leader of the Others on the Island. Ben arrived on the Island as a child, brought by his father Roger to work for the DHARMA Initiative. Ben takes orders from Jacob, and is the only person who visits and speaks with him. Ben's apparent goal is to keep the Island and its special properties secret from the outside world, and he goes to great lengths to achieve this.

But...what's the point of doing that? I mean, how many aircraft have they seen flying near the island? How many running lights of ships in the night?
And why haven't they gone looking for the power source or that transmitter that's been sending out the French Chick's message for sixteen years? Maybe they could change the recording, eh?
