Benjamin "Ben" Linus

Benjamin "Ben" Linus is the leader of the Others on the Island. Ben arrived on the Island as a child, brought by his father Roger to work for the DHARMA Initiative. Ben takes orders from Jacob, and is the only person who visits and speaks with him. Ben's apparent goal is to keep the Island and its special properties secret from the outside world, and he goes to great lengths to achieve this.

Don't forget that the shot with Dave isn't taken from the same point of view as the polaroid pic. That might account for the items appearing slightly differently in the pictures.

I wouldn't sweat the small differences either. When shooting they probably didn't think that the picture would be analyzed that deeply by the fans so they didn't bother measuring where everything was placed.
