 Desmond David Hume
Desmond David Hume was the lone resident of the Swan at the time of the Flight 815 crash. He was discovered by Locke, Kate and Jack a month later after they had blown open Hatch. After his failed attempts to leave the Island, Desmond joined the camp of survivors. Following the destruction of the Swan, Desmond gained a mysterious ability to see flashes of the future, with which he predicted Charlie's imminent death.

3 things about Lockdown
1. Why did 'Gale' steal the identity of a man so obviously not him? Why not just use any other alias, anything not disproveable? Did he want to be caught lying? His story gets wierder all the time...
2. Why have a lockdown but leave an air shaft to escape/ingress or to let 'infection' in? It's not about germs, I guess...
3. Did anyone see the gold car in the scene w/ Locke and Nadia? (I could be mistaken)

He probably thought he was covered with the balloon in place and a grave.

Yup I seen it, mentioned it another post. Im sure it appeared twice in that scene, once on the street and again in a drive way.

yeah that would be sorta wierd, if none of this was Fate at all but Mr. Hansos making them all meet because he set it up,.... whoaaaa wierd.

Most people would have been satisfied when finding the balloon and
grave right where H.H. said they were. But Sayid has been positive
from Day 1 that H.H. was an Other. When he tortured Sawyer he felt
guilty even though Sawyer deserved it and it was for a good reason.
He told Charlie he was sure the "Man down in the Hatch." was an Other
because he felt no guilt about what he had done.

Then he shoulda said it was "me and my buddy Henry, who died in the crash and I buried...etc."
