Default Helen doesn't play.

Wow, Helen doesn't cut John any slack does she?
I know she feels wronged by John, but she didn 't even give him
a chance to explain. She said John chose his father's love over
hers. Not true. I think anyone's whose family member
came back from the dead would merit a little investigation.
She likes to jump to conclusions.

And John is a better person than I am - another scruples discussion anyone?
I would have taken that money from the deposit box and told
everyone it was my inheritance.

Locke did the the Toad thing, he forgave his father, and he went for the money. Overall double whammy, he gets his JC points and he gets a boat load of cash (no pun intended). But Helen cuts the legs from underneath him the next second (NO PUN INTENDED AGAIN). She did the wrong thing, Locke was right to pursue forgiving someone, his reward was the cash.

Helen needed to look at Locke for who he was, a good person.

Do you think Locke went back for the cash or did his father scoop it up
when John ran after Helen or did the maid get "a hell of a tip?"

I think I would have left it in the bank... I would have been too scared of Thug 1 and Thug 2.

I would have left it all in the bank and then told T1 and T 2 where to
find Mr. Cooper.

All I can say is that John looked so sad when she rejected him. I would've said yes (if I wasn't already married...) She speaks of forgiveness...but she can't forgive John?

And Toad, what are JC points?

Maybe that's where John got the money to finance his trip to Australia. He didn't seem to have that high-paying a job and presumably he spent quite a bit on medical to try to find the cause and cure of his paralysis. So maybe he went back, got the money, put it somewhere safe so the thuggish victims of his father's scam wouldn't be able to determine that he got any of it. Just a thought...
