Dr. Jack Shephard

Dr. Jack Shephard is often seen as the main character of the series. He is a spinal surgeon and the de facto leader of the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. Jack has control issues and trouble dealing with situations that he cannot fix. However, this attitude of solving problems through reason has given him the ability to function well in crisis. Sometimes, if he feels guilt or pain over a situation he can't fix himself, he will do anything he can to fix it, even borderlining on obsessive. Jack is, most of the time, in control of his life, emotions and situation he is in and is able to keep a cool head in tense situations. Jack is also the half brother of Claire Littleton, although neither of them is aware of this. Jack has formed very strong bonds with Kate and Juliet while he has been on the Island.

I really enjoyed this episode. I liked the whole thing except for the reason
Locke and Helen broke up. Sawyer was taken down a peg. We have another hatch mystery. We were right about Henry. Great episode.

I thought it was really good, but it sure brought up alot more questions than answers. At least one BIG question was answered, thank you Mr. Gale.

It was intense. I really liked it. The only thing I think would have made it better, would have been if they had finally showed us how Locke ended up in the wheelchair. I thought we would see the thugs beat him up or Hellen would run him over.
I was on the edge of my seat all the way through the hour. We kept yelling out things like Daddy's back, look at the Box number and that's an Oceanic plane.
The ballon drop at the end was great. It explaines why there is a ballon on the island in the first place and, how they get food to the island, as well as showing us that at least in someones eyes this project is still active.
I can't wait for next week.

I was so sure we would find out why he was paralyzed. When Helen showed up at the hotel I just knew there was going to be a shoot out and
Helen would be killed and Locke paralyzed by gunshot or a fall.
Oh well.

Default Parachute, not balloon.

The food was dropped in a parachute, not a balloon.
I think the real Henry Gale did crash in a balloon and was killed.
I'm guessing that H.H. (Hoax Henry) was in on the burial and just assumed his identity.
I agree this shows that this part of the project is still active.

Fantastic epi.

I agree with MB. HH used the real Henry Gail as an alibi. Were the doors locked down in order to keep the inhabitants of the hatch inside, whilst the food was dropped by Dharma?

This was the most wicked ep of the season. So many answers, yet so many questions. Awesome!

I voted this the BEST of the season so far. They are giving us more, finally!

I felt so bad when Helen rejected Locke's proposal, he should've done it sooner!! I'm pretty sure they gave us a hint about how Locke became paralyzed (I know those bad guys weren't satisfied with one search of his bag.)

Gale is toast...I hope Jack changes his mind (seeing as how he still wants him locked up, even though he didn't think it was a good idea to begin with.) I loved how Jack humbled Sawyer like that...and we learned that Jack and possibly Sawyer have another connection, with Phuket, Thailand.

Sayid dug up the grave...eew. But good thing he did. I still am surprised HH didn't just run off and leave Locke in the hatch...

The hatch door and the food drop were the two things that made me audibly gasp last night. I gasped y'all, that's a big deal!

Talking

Im going to have to say it was good. I love the whole map on the blast door type thing and have been studying it. The whole Henry Gale conflict is probably my favorite part of the story line excluding anything to do with Locke which obviously is my fav character. Plus this epidosde actually inspired me to start posting on here. Im going to hold off on BEST Episode though due to a past episode which i enjoyed even though now that i think about it may have been season 1 oh well. Thats that.

Me, well, I'm a man of faith. Do you really think all this...is an accident? That we, a group of strangers survived, many of us with just superficial injuries? Do you think we crashed on this place by coincidence, especially this place? We were brought here for a purpose, for a reason, all of us. Each one of us was brought here for a reason.
