Dr. Jack Shephard
Dr. Jack Shephard is often seen as the main character of the series. He is a spinal surgeon and the de facto leader of the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. Jack has control issues and trouble dealing with situations that he cannot fix. However, this attitude of solving problems through reason has given him the ability to function well in crisis. Sometimes, if he feels guilt or pain over a situation he can't fix himself, he will do anything he can to fix it, even borderlining on obsessive. Jack is, most of the time, in control of his life, emotions and situation he is in and is able to keep a cool head in tense situations. Jack is also the half brother of Claire Littleton, although neither of them is aware of this. Jack has formed very strong bonds with Kate and Juliet while he has been on the Island.

It was intense. I really liked it. The only thing I think would have made it better, would have been if they had finally showed us how Locke ended up in the wheelchair. I thought we would see the thugs beat him up or Hellen would run him over.
I was on the edge of my seat all the way through the hour. We kept yelling out things like Daddy's back, look at the Box number and that's an Oceanic plane.
The ballon drop at the end was great. It explaines why there is a ballon on the island in the first place and, how they get food to the island, as well as showing us that at least in someones eyes this project is still active.
I can't wait for next week.

I was so sure we would find out why he was paralyzed. When Helen showed up at the hotel I just knew there was going to be a shoot out and
Helen would be killed and Locke paralyzed by gunshot or a fall.
Oh well.

Parachute, not balloon.

The food was dropped in a parachute, not a balloon.
I think the real Henry Gale did crash in a balloon and was killed.
I'm guessing that H.H. (Hoax Henry) was in on the burial and just assumed his identity.
I agree this shows that this part of the project is still active.
