I agree about the diagram - but why now?

Locke's dad -3 (oh I just knew Locke was going to be paralyzed
in a shoot out with those thugs.

LOOK UP ^^^^ the screenshot is in.

Ill start with the obvious stuff, look at the drawn logos, there is one for each hatch or sect of Dharma, notice that there is an arrow pointing to the Swan picture that says "I AM HERE". This means that whoever drew the blacklight paint mural was trying to figure out the Dharma secrets way before the losties.

I think that is a swan at 6:00. I can't make out the rest of the symbols.
Is it the 6 hatches maybe and the electromagnetic field in the center?

I'm new here so if I make any mistakees I apologize in advance. Looks to me that maybe the Dharma logo is an outline of the island and the 6 points are each station or hatch. The bottom one in the screencap being the Swan(I like the "you are here" sign). All of them pointing toward the central point. Question is what is this point. Also the Swan point seems to have a scetch or an outline of the hatch. The others don't seem to have.

Possibly the Pirate ship in the middle of the Island ? what was it ... the black rock? or something like that, Maybe Dharma was there to research it or something , not sure, .... but whatever it is it seems like whoever drew the map found the other hatches and was trying to figure out what was in the middle .
