Great work everybody! Maybe since originally two people were assigned to the hatch that they were able to coordinate the doors coming down and drawing the map?

First- wow, what an episode. It has actually inspired me to become fanatical, and this is my first post about the show- so Hi everybody!

Wow. It's really early in the morning, and my brain isn't quite awake yet, but that was really hard to totally make sense of. Does it sound like someone who thinks he (or she) is about to die?

OK Guys to me those are deff not tunnels but rather probably Rivers which further shows that it is a map of the island. because of the way they curve. ... Tunnels dont often curve so much.

That map seems to be drawn by someone who was caught on the island and was trying to figure out what it was. Someone smart enough to know latin and someone who was there for quite a while.

All those quotes of being sad and depressed somewhat remind me of Marvin the paranoid android from Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.

Also, I don't think that CV I, CV II, etc. are one big roman numeral because there is a space between the CV and the II. So it's probably initials followed by a number, ex: Compound Vault 1, Compound Vault 2, etc.

**edit** A couple of the hatches are drawn with dotted lines, my guess is because whoever drew the map couldn't access or find those hatches.

Maybe the dotted hatches are the underwater hatches we have all theorized about?

I think it's numbers because he/she (it?) writes in latin (roman)

Or hatches he/she/them, from the Dharma logo's appearance, assumes are there but haven't found proof for.
