 Kate Austen
Kate Austen is one of the middle section survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. Kate is a fugitive, and was being pursued by Marshal Mars prior to the flight, for blowing up her father. Kate had been captured in Australia and was being escorted back to the United States before the crash. Kate has always seemed to run away from her past. Even on the Island, Kate exhibits a kind of evasive behavior to escape from her problems. Kate, when on the run, always had good intentions and never did any outright harm or killings to anybody, she believed she was doing things for the greater benefit of others. This view is prominently connected with her actions of her father's murder - she believed she was relieving her mother from his abusive presence. Kate is strong-willed, useful and clever, but dislikes being alone and is usually level-headed.
She has escaped from the captivity of the Others with Sawyer, and has formed an ambiguous romantic relationship with him, despite still being unsure about her feelings for Jack.

Widmore
Notice that the pregnancy test Sun took was named the "Widmore pregnancy test". Also notice that in one of Charlies flashbacks in "Fire+Water" you can see in the background of the butties commercial a sign that says "Widmore Construction".
Also in a podcast the LOST team put out not to long ago they say that "Widmore is important" and that we should search for more connections.
Im ready to get searching...
In the screenshot below, you can barely make out Widmore Construction...But its there.
Also you can see Widmore on Henry's hot air balloon engine.

It was either a plant or someone on the plane is/was on the 'inside'...Im guessing Dharma is Widmore's "on island" brand persona.
