Sun says "A mother should not leave her child"

Why did Sun say that with such emotion? Is it just because she may be pregnant? Or is there a story there.

We did see Sun's mother trying to find her a husband in her flashback, so ???

I think that is just a stem of her morals and traditions. I dont know way too much about S.K. but in N.K. children are kept close at all times.

K, children in South Korea are either kept extremely close or not at all, there are alot of adoption agencies in S.K.

Parents there have good reasons to keep the'yre children close, things are sometimes screwed up. With the diseases and poltical issues, I would keep children close.

Suns family seemed to be big on tradition, and the "Family Unit" is a tradition that her famil probal practiced.

Thinking about it more, maybe it's just that Sun is hormonal (suspecting she is pregnant), and it is the writer's way of addressing the question that viewers would be asking - Why is Claire going off when she, as a mother, would stay with Aaron? The Claire character cannot do much in the show as long as she is tied to the baby all the time, so she needed a clear reason to leave him for awhile. They couldn't have her carry the baby with her.

Also thinking...there must be a reason why she left the baby with Sun instead of someone else?

Well Sun is reliable, trusted, and everyone likes her. No one has any dislikes or anything, she knows basic medical stuff in case Jack is there not away.

I have, but as of "maternity Leave" I don not think she knew she was pregnants yet.

if sun thinks she's preggo then wouldn't that mean she missed a cycle? that would take 30 days or more to know. how long have they been on the island and when exactly did her and michael become "friends"? is there a possibility that the father is not who it's thought to be?
