It looks like there is a container used for children born early in that picture. Strange...

Is it possible that the medical team was planning to induce delivery, with a C-Section as a backup just in case? Perhaps the girl (Alex) was confused about their intentions since she has spent her life hiding in bunkers pushing buttons & etc.

Maybe the Others are warm and cuddly after all. Just their leader makes them do bad things.

The Walrus and the Carpenter led the poor little clams astray. I feel you may be heading down a similar path my friend. Alex, making the assumption that is the young girl’s identity, would have lived with the Others her whole life. The most inept cult leader could brainwash a child given those conditions. I tend to believe that if Alex thinks they were going to kill her, they were indeed going to kill her.

On the other hand, what if they instructed Alex to aid in the escape.

The injections could have been a contagious infection. There is no reason to believe that the injections were a real vaccine. Maybe the real plan was for her to escape and spread the infection.
