Funny you should post these... I noticed those crazy faces, too. He was really freakin'. I don't think our friend Jack handles pressure so well sometimes.

I think he is just really intense. I think Sawyer's long, eyes rolled back, deep stares creep me out more.
I was cracking up when Jack was keeping Locke from pushing the button.
At least you know what Jack is thinking. Sawyer is always plotting and his expressions are unreadable.

what i can't figure out is how he's so quick to try and form a halfassed army, but yet he turns right around and is willing to accecpt some stranger into their group ( a group who has had members kidnapped and murdered by strangers ) who says he crashed in a hot air ballon??? how can anyone believe that a hot air ballon just "happened" to crash on the same tiny, out of the way island, that they crashed on to.... and around the same time no less. come on jack, wake up and smell the bullsh*t.

Yeh, Jack was nuts. But I did like how he tested Locke's faith in the button. I loved watching Locke squirm.

He's intense!

Yep! Jack is a few fries short of a Happy meal. There is a saying in medicine "First do no harm." He want to stop Sayid from kicking Uncle Henry's butt and, in the same breath said he's willing to take the chance with everyone elses lives by letting the clock run out.
Hey let's form an Army but, you shouldn't hurt anyone. At least not anyone on the Other's team. He's loosing it big time. He's out of his element and feeling the pressure.

I dunno 'bout that...Jack's made deals with Locke about the guns and the armory combo, and Locke keeps double-dealing on him...now, as a result they're best means of defence (the guns) are gone and lying unprotected in the woods somewhere.

I think he's FED UP with his 'allies' duplicity. But Locke's obsessed with the 108 key-punching so Jack retalliated on Locke right where he lives, as it were.
