I have to admit that I've been a bit disappointed in the show this season. I think season 1 was much better. However, between the Long Con and now this episode, I feel like Lost is getting back to the way it used to be. I gave it a Good.

I liked the twist of finding out Sayid learned his torturing techniques from the Americans and not the Iraqi Guard (which is what I had assumed). I thought the hieroglyphics at the end of of the countdown were cool (it's those kinds of things that to me make Lost interesting).

The whole 'looking for the frog' thing to me seemed like just filler. What, there's only one frog on the whole island? How do they know the one they found was the one keeping him awake? And then Sawyer squishing it like that? In my book he went from 'a sometimes jerk' to 'pretty psychologically disturbed'.
