OR Time

Did anyone notice that when Sayid and Hurley were listening to the radio that after Sayid said radio waves could pass long distances, hurley said "or time, just kidding". Now I have read references that maybe LOST is in a different time than the present which is why no one is looking for them, could this be a clue to verify this is true?

And do you think this quote has any significance?

Seriously.. i wouldnt like the idea that something bizarre like that is the plot.
You crash with a plane.. and then go back or forward in time? .. i wouldnt be so happy about that plot.

Also, the Washingmachine was kinda modern.. so i dont think that would be it.

I think it was just a jab at those of us theorizing about the time warp. Hurley seems to be the character who indirectly speaks to the audience about things like that.

I personally think that they are not that far in the furure or past. I just want to hear what you guys made of it....
