Chat Imagination?

Could Micheal have been imagining that he was speaking to Walt?

When Micheal first looked at the computer, he is looking at a blank screen. When Michael tries to type on the computer, he is not able to. ( remember, the computer only allows you to input the code. Nothing else)

Michael seem to have recieved another message from Walt, right before Jack walks in. Micheal seems to have been a little bit jumpy, and it seems like he was afraid of jack. When Jack looks at the computer screen, it was once again blank.

Did anyone else notice that the the two times Walt spoke to Micheal, he did not once mention his dog? yet, his dog was the first thing he mention after the plane crash?

Also, could imagining this, be a symptom of the illness?

That is possible. But I would like to believe that Walt is somewhere on the other side of the wiring. Micheal might be seeing what the Island wants micheal to see? The Island works in mysterious ways.

I think Michael is losing it, which could account for a more vivid imagination. However, I still really strongly believe that Dharma is playing with everyone's imaginations, and Michael's mental stability could very well be a result of that. Maybe it is the sickness. We'll have to see if anyone else starts to lose it.

It is very interesting that only Michael has seen the typing on the computer... What stuck out to me was that "Walt" asked Michael if he was alone before he started to give him details. Why would he want him to be alone? And why is Michael doing all of this in secret? I would think that if he really wanted to rescue him he would enlist the help of at least a few others.

And about Vincent - when they first chrashed, Walt hated his father and loved his dog, so of course he worried more about Vincent. Now, he loves his father and gave the dog to Shannon for safe keeping (even though she's dead now, Walt doesn't know that.)

But I'd like to think the conversations are real. And that Michael is falling into a trap, just like the Others want him to. And with the other survivors chasing after him in next week's episode, is it possible everyone will see the Others?

I too thought it was weird that Walt asked Michael if he was alone. If you were trapped and wanted to be rescued would you care if anyone was listening or reading your conversation. If it were me the first thing I would type is where I was and how he could come get me. Not ask him if he was alone. It seems like a trap to me.

mabe Walt thinks/knows that the "others" have infiltrated the camp.....but why would "others" leave a coumputer savvy (they all are now)kid alone with a computer?? Even the youngest kidnapped kids could run rings around most folks..
