What did Kate do?

For those of you that know that I can't watch the second season here in Iceland, throw me a bone, what did she do? For those that don't want to know until they watch, leave it in spoiler text.

confused? yea I was too.

[spoiler:bcdecb05e2]So that's why her mom freaked out. So, Let me get this straight, she killed her real father, because she thought he was going to take her away from her husband? Are we talking Like, he came back into their lives, swept her mom back off her feet and they had an affair, or..... what? Because I know her mom was horrified to see her, what would have her that horrified?[/spoiler:bcdecb05e2]

[spoiler:529b12d381]in the opening flashback her stepdad comes home and she blows the place up. She then goes to visit her mom in the restraunt and tells her that she's free from the stepdad and she had a insurance policy done for the house. In the last flashback she goes to visit her dad and tells him that she knows that he wasnt her real dad and that her stepdad was her real father. When she confronts Sawyer(who asked earlier "why did you kill me?"), she tells him/her dad-stepdad that she killed him b/c his evil blood was going through her veins and everytime she looked at sawyer it reminded her of him(her dad/stepdad).[/spoiler:529b12d381]

again it was quite confusing.
