Well, now we know that it was arson and murder that drove her and her mother apart. She gave her mom an insurance policy for the house she blew up with her dad in it. That could've potentially led to her mom's arrest in the murder, instead she turns in her daughter. Also, her mom cheated on her husband with Kate's father, that made me cry...the way the army dad cried with Kate.

Messed up famiy indeed.
