Well Copin, I don't think the island is not part of the multiverse, but a product of either instability or a factor that must be, like and equal sign in an equation. If you stretch a piece of Saran wrap far enough, there will be holes in it, and I think that's how the island came to be, not that it's a piece of plastic, but I'm sure you catch my drift. Actually, i saw a picture one time, it may be a sybol for a paint product, but that's how I see the island.. its three circles, one red, one yellow and one blue, and where the meet, little slices of the cirlce, there is a diferent color, which is made up of all three.. in fact, that is how my stance is going to be concerning the island, an overlapping of the 3 universes, a part of each, containing the power of all three.

You are right though, I love this show and I think it may be the best show ever created because of a forum like this. I also like how we all have our different opinions and views and everyone is open if not totally accepting... happy viewing tonight!
