As crazy as it might be, I like the multiverse idea better than someone faking the crash...somehow that just seems cheesy to me. I agree that someone with enough money and power could pull it off, I just don't like it as a plot line. The multiverse idea, however...what if each story is true...815 did crash on the island, and 815 did crash in the Pacific, and 815 did crash off of Bali (I tend to think Cooper and Naomi are referring to the same crash, maybe Cooper just refers to Bali as being in the Pacific, but whatever)

Either way, its all true, because there are different realities, and in each one the plane has crashed a different way (maybe even some where the plane didn't crash at all) and the island is some kind of nexus of realities where time doesn't flow like you think it does. One of the realities had its flight 815 somehow enter this nexus, and that is the crash of our Losties.

Anyhow, my head hurts now...need to stop thinking about this before all my realities come crashing down...
