Lostpedia Info about the Crash of Flight 815:

The Brig
When he asks her about Flight 815, she says the entire plane was found off the coast of Bali in an ocean trench four miles deep. Submersible robots explored the wreckage with cameras, which showed that all of the bodies were there.

The Brig
A door opened and he was staring at his dead son Locke. Sawyer asks if he meant from Cooper pushing him out the window but he says that only made him permanently paralyzed. What killed him was his plane crashing in the Pacific.

One of Us
Inside, a stack of TV monitors show Oceanic Flight 815 leaving, and news reports from numerous networks reporting that the flight is missing somewhere in the Pacific. Mikhail gives Ben the basic facts about Oceanic 815, such as that 324 people were onboard.

Oceanic Airlines Flight 815 departed from Sydney, Australia on September 22 2004 (2004-09-22), at 14:55, from gate 23, flying to Los Angeles, California, USA where it would arrive at 10:42. There were 324 people onboard the plane including flight crew. The aircraft was a Boeing 777, a long-range twin-engine jet airliner. ("One of Us")
After apparently six hours into the flight, Flight 815 encountered problems with their radio. The pilot decided to turn to Fiji, and approximately 2 hours later, the plane hit turbulence.
The plane began to descend and then underwent a mid-air break-up. The tail section broke off first, and crashed into the ocean. Moments later, the front/cockpit section and the middle sections crashed on the island.
The crash corresponds precisely with the time listed in a log printout of an electromagnetic buildup, which occurred when Desmond failed to push the button in the Swan station. Although the exact mechanics of the crash are uncertain, magnetism is the implied culprit. However, information on the electromagnetism page implies that a crash by electromagnetism would be impossible following the known laws of physics.
It was later revealed by Naomi that the wreckage of Flight 815 was supposedly found and that there were no survivors. ("D.O.C.")
Naomi also revealed that the entire wreck of Flight 815 was found at the bottom of the ocean off the coast of Bali in an ocean trench four miles deep and that all the bodies were there. ("The Brig")
