In real life she is Michael Emerson's wife.

Somewhere back in season two, I think, Harold Perneau's wife had a guest spot in the show.

I think Mrs. Emerson might be playing a young Ben's mommy who delivers Ben in the forest outside of Portland. I think she bleeds to death before Gerald can flag down a passing car and get her to the hospital.
