Good points made. and pretty convincing. I had a different take on that scene though. I thought it just highlighted his inability to show compassion for anyone. I hope he is not gay, it seems kinda cliche to me. Oh the big bad guy is also a big gay guy. But who knows. Richard seems to be his right hand man.
Maybe that extends beyond just a professional relationship.
My vote is still for Tom. I think his remark to Kate about her not being his type is just the kind of clue the Lost writers like to throw out. A typical remark that anyone might say in a simular situtation, but with a hidden meaning that is actually not hidden at all so it is often over looked or cast aside as being to obvious.
