What I meant by status quo was the Losties MO, to continue accepting the "Others" as dangerous informative people and not trying to do something about it. It's just not believable to me. Where is the survival tactic behind anything that they have done recently? In the first couple of seasons this was incorporated but the writers have completely gone off track. I understand some individuals will be scared and sympathetic but certainatley not the majority. 80 days stranded and living in the wild is certainly enough time for people to lose there patience and start making hostile decisions. Some wise some unwise but action is taken.

I live in Miami and every time a hurricane passes (which is almost every year) the city loses electricity and EVERYONE goes crazy. People fight over everything and anything because that’s what happens when our everyday amenities get taken away, money has no value, panic sets in and we have no clue when we will get it back. And that’s just electricity, we are talking about being stranded in an island that can’t be found and food will soon run out with other people kidnapping children and attacking you. So please don't use 80 days as if they pass by in a blink of an eye. What makes the show good is to see how REAL individuals explore an island that is mysterious and seems to have a life of its own. But when you add a cast of other individuals who live there as well and do all the things they have done and posses the knowledge or capability of leaving the island and the Losties continue to do NOTHING it gets old and unreal.

Scratch off surviving the plane crash and substitute real individuals with the Losites and tell me if any of what’s going on would happen? The answer is NO, the show would end in about 2 weeks because there would be total anarchy and as soon as a child is kidnapped the war would have begun and ended right then and there! Look I understand it’s a show and I really enjoy watching it don’t get me wrong but the writers need to start making it more realistic and make the characters perform real life scenarios! I’m tiered of seeing the Losties act so trust worthy and friendly to freaking kidnappers! This season has gone totally out of whack and I hope they fix it before the season finally
