In that scene Charlie says he has to bury him - echoing the words of Jack about his father and the marshall. He says "and he'll stay that way" or words to that effect. Hugo then says "yeah, until he rises from the dead". Unfortunately, I don't think we've seen the last of Ethan. Its a bit like the XFiles, no one REALLY dies...
