I'm glad you checked it out because I had resigned myself to the fact that they were bottle caps. I think the fact that they are the only two things and placed far apart makes them significant. What was it that the Ring Lady told Desmond about the only significant thing he would do? What implications are there for having (possibly) a dead-at-least-forty-years couple with a black and white stone, and a living, yet separated couple who had a black and white stone sitting in their living room?
