Let me through this at you. The map that Sawyer found is a topographical map, as shown by all of the rounded fainter linesthat cover the whole map. Near the center of the map where the faint lines broaden, there is a "c" circled. I believe this stands for "crater." The braodening of the lines here would represent a flatening out of the landscape. This flat area is surrounded by narrower lines, meaning shorter distances between large elevation changes. Meaning that the "c" is surrounded by mountains. Knowing what we've seen in the season 3 premire that "Othertown" is in a crater, that is where the map leads to.
Also remember those wavy lines on the blast door map, that we all thought were either rivers or underground tunnels? Could that be what we are seeing here in Sawyer's map. These lines are much bolder than the topography lines, so it could be emphisising the road or actually be underground.
