If he was diagnosed shortly before the plane crash, maybe there wasn't time to do anything, or the tumor was more aggressive than orignally thought, or they were planning on scheduling the surgery, but the plane crashed. What am I arguing about? I didn't like Ethan. He was scary. Good riddance to bad company!
