yes continutiy is all about that. Often times you have to deal with the cards your given. I do this for a liveing ( editing ) and we get notes from scrip supervisors on set who tell us what continutiy errrors slipped past in filing and such. there are also people who watch the edits to look for them too as its a long process to edit all this shows down to 43 min works of art, and things slip through!

if they can make it work... good! we do use the errors to our advantage if ever the case may be that... ( rarely ) and tv series ike LOST have more leway to change small plot points, than do films...
