Geographically, everybody is spread too far out: beach residents, sawyer and kate in the jungle, island two with Henry Gale, and now another island. When it was the losties vs. Smoke monster or the others it was a tight compact show and probably easier to write an episode. As each of the characters stories start fanning out there is less overlap in stories and we see the characters less. I won't stop watching, though.
