So about this thoery. I dont think that the physicist is involved. I dont even think that conversation happened. It was all in Des' head.


HERE is how i see it. I dont believe that Desmond went back in time. I think something metaphysical happend ( ie he and locke and ecko were transported out of the hatch...) but i dont really think he was sent back to the past. I think he was all in his head. There is about 80% percent of the brain that is unused. I believe his ESP and abilities are the awakenings of those sections of his brain. I think the sky turning purple and the emp that went off triggered his brain. If any of you have seen or read anything about metaphysics... being able to see something or hear something that newtons laws dont explain... IS all part of it. If you dont understand.... i'll say it like this.

Lets say you you dont believ that you can see a ball float in mid air... Well thats becuase since birth, you have been told about gravity and experienced it for yourself. So you have convinced yourself that is the way the world is.... but if you were raised to tap into your mind, record your dreams, and have an open mind about the laws of our world... there is a huge possibility that you could make a ball float. YOU MAY BE THE ONLY ONE who can see it, but that is becuase others would then be stuck in that old mode of thinking.

This would explain everything. Him getting hit in the head with a baseball bat in the bar wouldnt "time travel" him back to the island. If the ring somehow made it back to the island with him i would think so. but no... or even his clothes fom the bar. We have no real evidence that he was truely in the past...
