Also, something that's bothered me since the pilot episode - When the survivors on spending their first night on the beach and the smoke monster is breaking down the trees and there's all that noise Rose says in the background (I think the main shot is on Jack) "There's something very familiar about that sound." There is the sound of metal or chains and stuff, but I've always wondered about Rose's comment.
