I'm sharing a thought my husband had.
The Others have told Hurley to go back to camp and tell the rest of the losties to stay away. What makes them think that they are going to do what they asked. there is no history to back this up. I would think this would do more to provoke a reaction.
Then there is the matter of Sayid. Are they unaware of what a threat he could be even after he tortured Ben, or maybe they are counting on the fact that he ( and perhaps others) will come and try to retrieve them. What do you think?
