Thank you. I wonder if anyone has noticed that a new element was added this season concerning the passengers' connections to Dharma? Especially in the last episode?
A serendipitous quality has been added concerning Desmond (how he got to the island), why he said the 'miracle" comment to Jack in the stadium (he had just experienced two "miracles", the boat and Penelope finding him), Libby and her boat (getting out of order, here) Kelvin (his ties to Sayidd, Kates father, and then through his disillusionment with his career, connecting up with the Dharma Initiative), and Ana Lucia and Jack's dad. No sinister "group" manipulating events...just random chance, playing havoc with Hanso's carefully laid plans to change the world through the Dharma Initiative.
Oh, and I liked how in the first orientation film they mentioned the social planning (can't remember the exact words or title) aspect of the project. If they were talking about european or scandanavian style social planning, those guys really like having everything planned out...practically to the final detail...hence the 108 minute timer. No time, really, to think out alternatives or independent thought.
No room for "random chance."
